Dishes aren't getting clean
Clogged spray arms, a dirty filter, a weak wash pump, or a failing inlet valve can leave food and film behind.
When a dishwasher leaves dishes dirty, leaves water standing in the bottom, or leaks across the kitchen floor, we find the cause and quote the repair up front. We work on built-in dishwashers of most brands.
Clogged spray arms, a dirty filter, a weak wash pump, or a failing inlet valve can leave food and film behind.
The dishwasher isn't draining. Check the filter, then the drain pump, drain hose, and the connection to the sink drain or garbage disposal.
Water at the door or underneath often means a worn door gasket, a loose hose clamp, or a failed pump seal.
A faulty door latch or switch, or a control or power problem, keeps the cycle from beginning.
The inlet valve, float switch or its screen may be clogged or failed.
If the heating element or vent has failed, dishes won't dry well.
Grinding or humming can mean a failing pump motor or an object caught in the pump.
We repair built-in dishwashers from most common household brands, including Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire and Kenmore.
Write the brand and model number in the request form, or tell us when you call. The model number is usually on a label inside the door, lid or frame, or on the back of the unit.
You'll get a 2-hour arrival window. The technician runs the dishwasher, finds what's failing, and gives you a repair price before starting. The diagnosis fee is $95 and is applied toward the repair if you approve it. If we have the part, the repair can often be finished that day; otherwise we order it and schedule a return visit.
Many dishwasher failures involve a pump, valve, latch or gasket and are cheaper to fix than replacing the machine. If the tub or the rest of the unit is in poor shape, we'll tell you.

The drain is blocked or the pump isn't working. We'd check the filter and drain hose first, then test the drain pump.
Common causes are clogged spray arms, a dirty filter, a weak wash pump or a bad water inlet valve. Loading dishes so the spray can reach them also matters.
Look at where the water appears. Leaks at the door often come from the gasket or latch; leaks underneath point to a hose, clamp or pump seal.
The $95 diagnosis is applied toward the repair if you approve it. The repair price depends on the part and labor, and we quote it first.
